Canine experts continue to dub this “Australia’s Favourite Show” after it won the prestigious title for four consecutive years at the Dog News Australia Awards.

Eleven International Judges will participate in one of the most talked-about dog show events in 2024, with exhibitors from all around Australia and beyond jostling for pole position.

You’ll find all the excitement going down at David Roche Park in Kilburn, a suburb of Adelaide.

In addition to hosting all the four-day competitions, this first-class venue provides an opportunity for all the canine world’s movers and shakers to get together for some serious networking.

There will also be dog-related stalls galore, along with plenty of top-notch refreshment areas.

Who Attends Dogs SA Winter International?

All the top breeders, handlers and their dogs will be participating in the event. Entrants fall into a range of groups that include:

  • Pinscher and Schnauzer, e.g. Doberman and Cane Corso
  • Terriers, e.g. Scottish and Cairn Terriers
  • Dachshunds, e.g. Miniature Smooth Haired
  • Spitz and Primitive, e.g. Chow Chow and Pomeranian
  • Scenthounds, e.g. Dalmatian and Harrier
  • Pointing Dogs, e.g. English and Gordon Setters
  • Retrievers Flushing & Water Dogs, e.g. Cocker Spaniels and Golden Retrievers
  • Companion and Toy Dogs, e.g. Maltese and Pekingese
  • Sighthounds, e.g. Afghan Hounds and Greyhounds

Other groups include Toys, Terriers, Hounds and Gundogs, as well as puppies, baby puppies, and juniors. This four-day event emphasizes diversity, with sixteen Breed Specialty Shows running over the 2024 weekend.

What Are the Key SA Winter International Dates and Schedules?

The Dogs SA Winter International runs from May 30th until June 2nd. The organisers have packed these four days to the brim with special events. Here are the important dates to note:

  • Thursday, May 30th: A.N.K.C. Show
  • Friday, May 31st: F.C.I. C.A.C.I.B. Show
  • Saturday, June 1st: Crufts Qualifier Show
  • Sunday, June 2nd: Asia, Africa and Oceania Show
