Crufts 2024: March 7th-10th at the NEC, Birmingham, UK
The National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham has been home to Crufts for more than 30 years now. Located in the UK’s second biggest city, the NEC is more than a match for London’s Wembley Stadium or O2 Arena. It is, in fact, the UK’s largest event space, with a whopping 18 exhibition halls available.

It takes more than filling out an entry form to become one of the 18,000 competitors at Crufts and this is what helps make the Crufts Dog Show stand out from the pack.
For a dog to make it to prestigious dog show events like Crufts, there are more than a few hoops they have to jump through. Dogs typically have already had competition success in their own countries. Crufts Dog Show features over 200 pedigree dog breeds. Expert judges from around the globe gather to rate every type of dog, from Hamiltonstovares to Pharaoh Hounds and Japanese Shiba Inus to Chow Chows. This is a dog show that celebrates the diversity of the canine world and is broadcast internationally.

- Gun Dogs (Friday, March 8th)

Two of the hottest tickets are for seats in the Obedience Ring and the Best in Show when the top dog in each breed group competes for the much-coveted trophy. And there’s much, much more.
In the main arena, you’ll witness the best and most spectacular dog agility displays packed with nail-biting competitions. There are also prizes for Flyball, Heelwork to music, Obedience, Rally and Working Gundogs.
Crufts, which partners up with the Kennel Club, also manages to fit in time to acknowledge and celebrate our unique relationship with dogs. This culminates with the Kennel Club Hero Dog Award and gets fought out between five outstanding finalists from these categories:
- Dogs who have made a remarkable impact on a child
- Rescue Hero dogs who have overcome adversity
- Extraordinary Working dogs,g. from the police or armed forces
- Hero Support dogs,g. medical detection dogs, hearing dogs & therapy dogs
- Best-friend dogs who may have seen their owners through hard-to-better times
